With limited years in our selected fields and a seemingly plucky attitude, our team appears to be a coterie of over-ambitious fools, however we are capable of blending technical mastery in our individual fields with a keen sense of storytelling.
In every project we utilise our unique and varied distribution of individual skills, such as photography, writing, audio and video editing, and audio/visual creation, as well as intently following the mission and vision we have been given, and using both to create a compelling and enduring opus.
What do we do?
At Jack Ayrey Photography, we specialise in nature, wildlife, and environmental photography and journalism. We are incredibly conscious of the environment, nature, nature’s beauty, nature’s backseat in a modern life, and how people need to become more aware of nature.
We focus on documenting landscapes, wildlife, and natural environments, we encourage people to look more closely at the world around them, we are excited to work with people and/or their enterprises that work in nature, we capture all of this in our high-quality photography and exciting prose, and we do not compromise when it comes to client care.
We sell prints, offer guided photography walks, publish environmental journalism, write and work with other major publications, work with brands involved in the natural world, everything we do is in an effort to share the beauty, complexity, and importance of nature to a wider audience.

A rare sunny day in mid February England.
Peaceful woodland scene
This serene outlook over a narrow, gently flowing stream is a perfect example of what we look for at Jack Ayrey photography.
Water winding its way through the channel, bordered by flowing grasses and low vegetation, bare tree branches arch overhead forming a canopy. Think of the quaint walks down the dirt and gravel-scattered path adjacent to the shimmering river, the faint stream bubbling, sticks crunch under every step, and the thistles, the bushes, and the reeds supress the outside world.
Scenes like this are common place in the south-west, but people don’t look, and with climate change people will run out of time to look.
Rising water levels cause streams like these to dry out in the summer. After extreme rainfalls, floods erode stream banks and wash away soil, plants, and habitats. Animals that are vital to theses ecosystems struggle to survive due to rising water temperatures and changes in seasons.
Scenes like these project more than just a pretty picture, it’s a story about what we have and what we could lose, an allegory for human ignorance, a sign for change.

Not much to say, creatures like this are common and underappreciated and ,while not endangered currently, the planet is getting warmer and more species of more and more common animals are becoming endangered.

You can also buy digital downloads of our images, a permanent way to appreciate our work allowing you to use the images for screensavers etc.., or just show appreciation.

From nature and environment mags, to outdoor activities mags, or any publication looking for a photographer, editor, or writer who is not only skilled but competent and knowledgeable in the outdoors and nature, we are no stranger to published works and the demands they bring.

We have a knack for bringing out the best in all sorts of creative work, especially photography.
We have experienced photographers, those same photographers are practiced photography editors, trained by professionals and well-practiced, we can make your images shine.
Your Questions, Answered.
How do I order prints and digital downloads?
Our prints are made to order, send us an email detailing which prints you want and how many of each, what sizes do you want (choose from A3, A4, A5), where should we send the prints (PO box, home address, other collection options), and further questions or details like would you like your prints framed or gift-wrapped etc..
Payment details are all carried out via email where any specialised orders can be detailed thoroughly.
Digital downloads are also conducted via email: upon confirmation of payment we email high-resolution digital downloads for you to use at personal will (certain uses of digital downloads may be met with inquiry, send us an email for further detail). Send us an email regarding what images you want to purchase, we send the payment details, and ,upon payment, you can enjoy your images.

Do you offer customizable packages?
Whether it be our photo editing, prints/digital downloads, environmental journalism, or even our guided photography walks, we allow our clients freedom to customize their experience to their tastes and comforts. Some changes and alterations to services could cost more, but when going on a guided photo walk ,for instance, special preparations can be made for disabilities, fears/phobias, allergies, conditions, personal preference, and more.
We want your creative experience to be fulfilling and freeing , we don’t want people to resent the world we show them due to an inadequate experience using our services, instead we dedicate our each and every interaction with clients to being ,not adequate, but exemplary.
When and how will I receive my images?
Final, retouched images are delivered via a secure online gallery within two to three weeks of your session or event. High-resolution downloads and print options are included, with invoices issued upon delivery.
All commissions ,magazine article/feature prose, editing, and photography; advertising shoots; etc.., are emailed, faxed, or delivered through whichever required means to the client with invoices issued upon delivery.
